Memory and identity in symbiosis: an analysis of the relationship between Cora Coralina and nature

Abstract

The aim of this article is to present an analysis of the poems "The land transfigures me, "My ciy” and "Corn prayer” by Cora Coralina, in order to understand how the author portrays in her works the relationship between human beings and nature, especially in the context of the Goiás Cerrado. It is an interpretative research with a qualitative approach. The study reveals that Coralina demonstrates a poetic sensitivity in portraying the relationship between humans and the natural and cultural environments. The author invites us to reflect on our own relationship with the environment and to value the simple and authentic experiences that shape our identity, thus enabling the use of her poems as tools for promoting Environmental Education for students.
