Abstract

To measure the progress towards sustainability, indicators that provide the reading of quality conditions in improvement cycles are adopted. In this context, the present study was proposed with the objective of recognizing and validating a set of indicators applicable to self-certification of HEIs, with a case study at the UNESP. To conduct this applied case study, a systematic review was carried out to support the proposition of an initial list of indicators that was validated with members of the academic community on the subject, through a survey. Among the results we highlight: the recognition of sustainability tools applicable to HEI and the proposition of categories and subcategories of sustainability indicators applicable to HEI in cases of self certification.
