Abstract

This article investigates the Pedagogical Political Project of three rural schools in Vera Cruz, Porto Seguro (BA, Brazi), focusing on implementation, challenges, and perspectives of environmental education, highlighting the weakness of the PPP and the importance of agroecology for critical Environmental Education.

  • Alessandra Buonavoglia Costa-Pinto, Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia

    Professor at the Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB). Coordinator of NUPEEA - Center for Research and University Extension in Environmental Education / UFSB / Porto Seguro, Head of the Environmental Education Sector of the UFSB Sustainability Advisory. She was coordinator at the Directorate of Environmental Education for Sustainability (DIEAS) of the Secretariat of the Environment of the State of Bahia (SEMA-BA). She holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences, with an emphasis on Environmental Education from PROCAM / USP and a PhD in Philosophy of Nature and Environment from the University of Lisbon (UL) / Portugal. The thesis defended focuses on Environmental Education (EE), Public Policy of EE and philosophical thought of Spinoza. He has experience in the area of Education from higher to popular education, with emphasis on Environmental Education, working mainly on the following topics: environmental education, power of action (Espinosa), traditional communities, community participation, environmental management and Public Policy. He has a master's degree in Environmental Science, since 2003, from the University of São Paulo - PROCAM. He holds a degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1993).
