On the mining trail: uncovering its environmental impacts through fieldwork

Abstract

The mining activity causes big ones impacts in the regions where they are implanted, being necessary the action of the Environmental Education that is inserted in the continuous formation of teachers. That said, the objective of this research was to analyze the importance of the project "Circuito mining nas Escolas" in the continuing education of teachers and students in schools in Parauapebas-Pa. The present work was developed from the pedagogical actions carried out during the continuing education of education professionals in the municipal education network through the field class. Questionnaires were applied using the google forms platform, with questions designed to meet the satisfaction assessment regarding the pedagogical aspects of the project. The experiences provided by the project enriched the pedagogical practice in schools in the municipal network of Parauapebas, deconstructing common sense and developing new perceptions about education in the municipality, its predominant economic matrix and sustainability.
