Abstract

Questo testo presenta una panoramica del campo di indagine emergente della Storia digitale dell'arte, concentrandosi principalmente sulle pubblicazioni in inglese a partire dal 2012. L'obiettivo qui è quello di definire la Storia digitale dell'arte e le sue connessioni con le cosiddette Digital Humanities; storicizzare il suo sviluppo, dalle iniziative pionieristiche alla sua affermazione in campo accademico; e delimitare alcuni dei suoi approcci metodologici ricorrenti, vale a dire l'analisi spaziale, l'analisi di rete, l'analisi delle immagini e l'analisi del testo.
