Abstract

Environmental education must be worked across the curriculum. Teaching practices must sensitize those involved intentionally and objectively, encouraging change in practices. The objective of this research was to analyze the methodologies used by an elementary school teacher in the city of Navegantes-SC. The methodology adopted was Content Analysis, with school documents as study material. The results were positive and confirmed the environmental education practices in some documents, however the theme was not found in the annual plans. The research proves the deficiency of the education system regarding the act of sensitizing the student.
