Editorial policy

1. OPEN ACCESS POLICY

Imagem: Revista de História da Arte  adopts an open access policy, ensuring immediate, free, and unrestricted access to all of its content. The journal is grounded in the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public fosters the universal democratization of knowledge, while preserving proper attribution of authorship and sources.

2. POLICY FOR PROMOTING ETHICS IN ACADEMIC PUBLICATION

Imagem: Revista de História da Arte adopts the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Code of Good Scientific Practices of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), is in line with the main recommendations national and international references regarding good research practices (COPE – Committee on Publication Ethics, UNIFESP Office of Integrity) and the Guide for good practices for strengthening ethics in a scientific publication (from SciELO) as a reference for the implementation of good scientific practices in all stages of work, from the submission of texts to their publication.

The editorial board of Imagem: Revista de História da Arte is committed to identifying and preventing the publication of papers in which the occurrence of research misconduct or ethical violations is verifiable, especially in cases of plagiarism, manipulation of quotations, falsification/manufacturing of data, absence of relevant authorizations, dissemination of discriminatory opinions, among others.

Cases of this nature that come to the attention of the Editors will be analyzed individually. When instances of misconduct are identified in articles already published by Imagem: Revista de História da Arte, and when there is concrete evidence of their occurrence, the journal will issue on its website a retraction note, correction, or expression of concern, clearly stating the reasons that justify it, in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

3. COPYRIGHT DECLARATION

It is the authors' responsibility to obtain written permission to use copyrighted material in their papers. Imagem: Revista de História da Arte is not responsible for copyright infringements made by its contributors.

The authors retain the copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution – NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0):

Attribution (BY): Licensees have the right to copy, distribute, display and perform the work, and to make derivative works of it, provided they give due credit to the author or licensor, in the way specified by them.

Non-Commercial Use (NC): Licensees may copy, distribute, display and perform the work, as well as do derivative works from it, as long as it is for non-commercial purposes.

After publication, the authors retain the copyright and republishing of their texts, and their subsequent publication is allowed exclusively in unpublished books and collections.

4. PRIVACY STATEMENT

The names and addresses furnished to Imagem: Revista de História da Arte will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication and will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties.

5. ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES

Imagem: Revista de História da Arte does not charge any fees for submission, peer review, processing, or publication. All publishing services are free of charge for authors.

6. DIGITAL PRESERVATION

Imagem: Revista de História da Arte uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to digitally preserve its published content and ensure long-term access.

7. REPOSITORY POLICY

Imagem: Revista de História da Arte allows authors to deposit versions of their work (preprint, accepted manuscript, and published version) in institutional or subject repositories at any time, provided that proper citation of the original publication is included.
