A Visual Essay, by Marcelo Moscheta: Looking at the Clouds, the Color of Infinity

Abstract

As the closing of the path proposed by this dossier, we are honored to feature the special participation of visual artist Marcelo Moscheta, who kindly provided us with some images of his creative process, as well as drawings he produced in 2009 for the Cultura Inglesa Festival, held at the British Council headquarters in São Paulo. This series of works was inspired by Alexander Cozens (1711–1786) and, taking as its “motto” one of the sessions from the innovative landscape composition method published by that artist — A New Method of Assisting the Invention in Drawing Original Composition of Landscapes (1785) — Moscheta titled his series A New Method For Assisting The Invention in the Composition Of Clouds.
