Abstract

This study analyzes the development of technical competencies and behavioral skills through the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines into Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Through a literature review, essential competencies such as systems thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration were identified as fundamental for addressing contemporary socio-environmental challenges. The results indicate that an interdisciplinary STEM approach, combined with Environmental Education, enhances student preparedness to effectively tackle these challenges, directly contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in Education.
