Abstract

Raising awareness of the new generations of elementary school in the first grade (EP1) is a new and indispensable thing, since it allows to stimulate the learners to participate with rigor as active agents / managers in the taking of the environmental resolutions capable of assuming new responsibilities and practices, aiming to execute a type of development that cultivates a careful harmonious relation and the forest preservation and fauna-brave within the limits imposed by the nature. Ten teachers were interviewed corresponding to a sample of 3 people of whom two teachers and one teacher and 50 apprentices with a sample of 15. All were questioned about contents related to the contribution of environmental education in the context of forest and wildlife awareness, from the perspective of answer the following question: What difficulties do teachers consider relevant to the inclusion of environmental education in curricular programs, developing environmental education in the field of forest awareness and wildlife? Thus, the present study aims to: Investigate the way in which environmental education is being implemented in the first grade elementary school of the second district in Chókwè, aiming to identify the difficulties that teachers face to the inclusion of environmental education within the context of forest awareness and wildlife in curriculum programs, developing environmental awareness in children aged 7 to 14 years. Faced with this, the results reveal the lack of both pedagogical tool and teacher training, which would justify that they do not practice their activities as a facilitator, making it impossible for the learner to act as an active agent of the process. Therefore, it is suggested that the school seek adequate methods that allow the incorporation of environmental education within the context of forest awareness and wildlife in the curricular programs, with the perspective of building knowledge that aims to raise the awareness of learners in face of current environmental problems.
