Environmental Education in CMEIs’ in Goiânia (GO, Brasil): teaching approaches and practices

Abstract

This research aims to clarify the Environmental Education practices implemented in Early Childhood Education at Municipal Early Childhood Education Centers (CMEIs) in Goiânia (GO, Brazil). The study proposes an analysis of five educational units. The main objective of this study is to identify and understand the approaches used to work on Environmental Education in Early Childhood Education units. During the field research, the spaces organized within the CMEIs will be observed to understand how they contribute to the implementation of pedagogical practices focused on Environmental Education and the questionnaires applied to the teachers of the groups of children aged 4 and 5 will be analyzed, understanding the pedagogical work carried out by the teachers regarding EE practices.
