PPPEA OF GUARATUBA APA: A STRUCTURING TOOL FOR TERRITORIAL MANAGEMENT ON THE PARANÁ COAST

Abstract

Historically, the management of Conservation Units (UC’s) faces numerous challenges, from the lack of financial and human resources and operational infrastructure, to the challenges of consolidating participatory mechanisms and implementing Environmental Education (EA) actions that promote increasing social engagement. In this context, management bodies have created different strategies and tools to strengthen EA actions and their involvement. This article reports the collective experience of preparing the PPPEA of the APA of Guaratuba, with the engagement of different actors and social institutions, working from a critical reading of reality as the basis of this unprecedented guiding document in the territory.
