Abstract

A technological and social revolution is underway. 69% of the world's population already has access to a mobile device, and 4.7 billion people have access to the Internet while simultaneously living with the impacts of climate change. The objective of this systemic review was to test the hypothesis of whether Environmental Education's actions are keeping up with this revolution. The results of this quantitative and qualitative research of publications available on the following portals: CAPES, Web of Science, DOAJ, Google Scholar, SciELO, and UNESCO showed that less than 1% of the articles are on the subject. Of the 16 studies analyzed, opportunities and risks were identified, and conclusions were drawn about the need for priority and support for teachers.
