Charming Bees: Educating to Conserve Biodiversity

Abstract

Bees play a crucial role in food production by pollinating crops and producing propolis, honey, pollen, and beeswax. However, environmental impacts and lack of awareness are contributing to the loss of bee biodiversity. At a recent event, visitors had the opportunity to interact with different beekeeping boxes, sample various bee products, and learn about these insects. They also participated in pre- and post-visit questionnaires. Our exhibit successfully sparked people's interest and empathy for beekeeping and conservation, making them valuable tools for Environmental Education.
