Abstract

A didactic and dynamic way of introducing and expanding students' knowledge about environmental education is through the creation of a school garden, where they have direct contact with nature and can closely observe the benefits as well as learn how to manage it nature and raise awareness of environmental issues. The core of this research is to present a comparative analysis of students' knowledge regarding environmental education based on the implementation of a school garden in a private basic education institution in the city of Natal (RN, Brazil). The research includes steps such as bibliographic analysis, implementation of the school garden and a questionnaire with students.
