“Sustainable Being” Project: learning in climate education from the climate journeys at The Climate Reality Project Brasil

Abstract

The Climate Reality Project Brasil encourages methodologies for climate education. The objective of this work is to present the Ser Sustentável project, created through the Journeys for the Climate, where it proposes to teach that the climate crisis can be reduced through an Environmental Education process that facilitates the understanding of ecological action as a tool for change. The project began with the publication of photographs of biodiversity, planting seedlings, collecting plastic bottle caps, home composting and ecological habits. It is concluded that the propagation of more sustainable actions guides reflection and the search for changes in attitudes and a greater understanding of the reality of the consequences of global climate change.
