Municipal environmental educators before the pandemic crisis

Abstract

The perception of environmental educators in the face of the pandemic coronavirus crisis in municipalities in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba is addressed here. We seek to report their experiences in new work relationships and social isolation. Brum (2020) and Latour (2020) address concerns about the expectation of positive changes after the pandemic. They alert us to the risk that we will return as it was before and marked by the consequences caused by this crisis. It was found in a study with these environmental educators that they understand the context of a pandemic due to the reality they experienced, the suspension of their activities. They recognize Environmental Education as essential for understanding and coping with this moment and new ones that may arise.
