Global warming and Physical Education: awareness based on the orientation race

Abstract

This study involves the areas of school Physical Education and Environmental Education. Its general objective is to describe and analyze alternatives to raise students' awareness of global warming, based on Physical Education classes. A qualitative research of the bibliographic type of explanatory nature was carried out. Global warming is a matter of extreme relevance to life on the planet, as some of its consequences are melting, rising sea levels, uncontrollable fires and others. At the end of the study, there is an opportunity to work on this topic in Physical Education classes from the orientation race in an interdisciplinary way.

  • João Victor de Mello Avelino, Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR)

    Graduated in Physical Education - Licenciatura (2019) by UFPR (Federal University of Paraná). Professional performance as an intern in School Physical Education at the Franciscan Association of Teaching Bom Jesus (2017-2019) and intern at complementary activities at Colégio Marista Paranaense (2019). Currently in the professional area, professor at Colégio Marista Paranaense in the core of complementary activities, working mainly with school physical education and sports initiation. In the academic environment, Master's student in the Graduate Program in the Education sector at UFPR, in the line of Culture, School and Formative Processes in Education, researching in the area of Education and Physical Education at school mainly on aspects related to pedagogical practice, didactics, methodologies , motivation, active learning, use of teaching time and school culture.

  • Soraya Correa Domingues, Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR)

    Professor of the Physical Education course at UFPR, undergraduate and graduate programs in Education, PhD by the graduate program in Physical Education at UFSC, Master in Education at UFBA (2005), Postgraduate studies in Image Potentials in Sciences Humanities (UFBA), Postgraduate in Philosophy Teaching in High School (UFPR), Degree in Physical Education (UFBA, 1999), and Philosophy (UFBA, incomplete). Experience in higher education in the courses of Physical Education, Pedagogy and Natural Sciences, in the disciplines Curricula in Physical Education, Teaching Internship, Scientific Methodology, History of Physical Education, Rhythmic Activities and Handball, and in postgraduate courses, in the subjects of Environmental Education, Megaevents and Environment, Teaching Methodology, Oral Communication and Body Expression, Scientific Work Methodology. Has experience in research funded by CNPq, CAPES and FAPESB, PROEC and Licenciado (UFPR). Operates in the areas of Body, Art and Culture, Environmental Education, Curricula, Teacher Training, Teaching and Research Teaching and Methodology, Epistemology, Gymnastic-Rhythmic Sports Activities. In extension and research, she coordinates the Research, Extension and Licensing Group on Curricula and Complexity at UFPR.
