DANÇA ANIMAL: VIDEO DANCE AS A PROPOSAL TO RAISE AWARENESS OF BIODIVERSITY AMONG IFPR CAMPUS PARANAGUÁ STUDENTS

Abstract

This current article aimed to create an awareness tool by valuing the fauna that lives in a certain region of the coast of Paraná and by the development of an educational material (a video dance named “Dançanimal”), which comprises five choreographies, each one attributed to the following animals: Burrowing Owl, Ant, Black Vulture, Blacksmith Tree Frog and Jararaca. The choreographies were made up in free style, with elements of different dance styles, aiming to introduce some behavioral characteristics of the species. It is believed that these types of research may contribute to raise the awareness of different groups of people regarding biodiversity and become a tool for Environmental Education.
