Abstract

The objective of this study was to identify the environmental perceptions of social actors residing in the surrounding of Iguaçu National Park (Paraná - Brazil). The research was characterized as qualitative-quantitative, and data collection occurred through the application of a questionnaire. The analysis was conducted interpretively and through the calculation of average ranking. The results showed that participants attribute the causes of climate change to human activity and perceived its impacts in a short period of time. Additionally, they highlighted the importance of discussing various environmental topics at all levels and modalities of education and exhibited attitudes demonstrating pro-environmental behaviors.
