Abstract

Introduction. Among the several diseases that commit the gait, the neuromuscular are one of the main ones, being the locomotion plenty assault in the group of the muscular dystrofhy. The patients with muscular dystrophy of Duchenne (DMD) present several motor compromising, among them alterations in the gait. Being like this, to evaluate the gait in a necessary way is important to analyze the real effects of the physiotherapic interventions applied to the patients with DMD. Objective. The objective of that work is to identify and to characterize the main instruments for the gait analysis used in patients with DMD. Method. We researched in the following bases of data MEDLINE, LILACS, SCIELO, PUBMED, SCIRUS, BASE and DEDALUS. The terms used in the Portuguese language were marcha, locomoção, análise and distrofia muscular de Duchenne, and in the English language they were gait, walking, locomotion, analysis and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. For the selection of the goods inclusion criteria and exclusion were used. Results. The found results were tabulated according to amount of patients, objectives, instruments, and resources. Conclusion. The 14 instruments of gait analysis found are, in his totality, characterized as cinematic, resources that supply kinetic data just existing.
