Author Guidelines

BEFORE EVERYTHING: Papers and Experience Reports must be submitted in the FORMAT available in TEMPLATE.

RevBEA is a bimonthly magazine focusing on studies and reports of experiences in Environmental Education, and other topics such as Science Teaching, Environmental Management, Environment or the like that do not fall within the scope of EA WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, manuscr
ipts being rejected even without external evaluation, through the “desk review”.

The receipt of texts is in continuous flow, that is, there are no deadlines for sending texts, they are analyzed and published according to the theme and order of arrival. Upon receipt of the review texts, the editors will send to two members of the Advisory Board. With two approvals, the text is approved for publication and sent to the author for final adjustments (when suggested). Also, in the presence of two unfavorable opinions, the text is rejected. In the event of a tie, publishers will send to a third reviewer for a tie.

Our guidelines are: Thematic essentially directed to EA; Preferably activity, research or experience already performed, and may be a theoretical essay.

1. All texts received will be submitted to the journal's consultants for due consideration. Changes to the text, when suggested by the consultants, will be forwarded to the authors for consideration. Similarly, you will be notified to the author (s) via OJS when the text is rejected.

2. Papers should be submitted via OJS, without any element (s) identifying the author (s). Data regarding the author (s) will be recorded in the system at the time of submission. The articles should have a maximum of twenty pages, Letter paper, Arial letter, size 12, single space, 3 cm margins, numbering the pages.

3. Articles should be accompanied by an abstract in English and an "Resumo" in Portuguese, containing a maximum of ten lines and three to five keywords (palavras-chave). Footnotes, where they exist, should be automatically numbered in Arabic numerals in ascending order. References cited within the text should be made as follows: (Author, date: page). Quotations throughout the text should follow ABNT standards (AUTHOR, year, p.). References should be presented at the end of the article, in alphabetical order, as follows: a) Books: AUTHOR. Title in bold. Place of publication, Publisher, date. b) Articles: AUTHOR. Title. Title of the journal in bold. Place of publication, journal number (issue number): start page-end page, month / year.

4. The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the bibliographic references and for the ideas expressed in their texts.

5. Articles must be sent via OJS.

6. Articles comply with the norms established by ABNT NBR 6023/2018 - Information and documentation - References - Elaboration, in force since November 14, 2018.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Among the references are works published by RevBEA.
  • The submission has not been previously published, dialogues with Environmental Education, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in TEMPLATE FORMAT, OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format, and WITHOUT IDENTIFICATION of authors.

Artigos

This section is intended to disseminate research work on Environmental Education, with the aim of contributing to the consolidation and strengthening of this field of study. Accepts only original and unpublished articles resulting from empirical research and/or theoretical studies produced by Brazilian and foreign authors, which enable reflections and theoretical deepening of Environmental Education and its research practices and/or methodological practices. Case studies are accepted for this section, as long as they are research in nature and contribute to the formation of knowledge in the field of Environmental Education, especially if they can be replicated in other contexts and territories.

Relatos de Experiências

This section is intended to report Environmental Education experiences experienced in a given situation, and which highlights the positive aspects and difficulties identified during the activities, with information about their development and results achieved, preferably making the relationship between theory and practice.

Each report must contain significant considerations about Environmental Education and establish considerations and reflections based on the reported experience and its respective theoretical apparatus, contextualizing the activities developed in an objective language, but with impersonality and seriousness, in order to contribute to the construction of knowledge in Environmental Education.

Vozes da REBEA

This is a section so that the Networks that make up the REBEA network can publicize their actions.

The writing can be done by any of its participants who want to publicize their actions, and later, the manuscripts for this section must be sent by the facilitators of each Network.

Anais de evento

Section dedicated to publishing Annals of national and international events in the field of Environmental Education, mainly those carried out by REBEA networks, including the Brazilian Environmental Education Forum.

The organizers of the events are the curators responsible for the evaluation, selection, review and editing of works to be published in special editions of RevBEA, in months in which there are no regular editions.

Edição Especial

Section dedicated to the publication of works specially selected to compose thematic dossiers, proposed by networks and/or links of the Brazilian Environmental Education Network.

Proponents are responsible for evaluating, selecting, reviewing and editing the works received, always after publishing notices calling for contributions.

Documentos da REBEA

Section for exclusive use of the Facilitation of the Brazilian Environmental Education Network, with the aim of storing documents and guidelines that guide its actions.
