WEAVING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION NETWORKS: EXPERIENCE REPORT IN WESTERN PARANÁ

Abstract

This work shows the action of an Environmental Education Network, which united a series of interconnected projects that started with activities centered on improving life quality and sustainability. In the beginning, it was made in 16 towns surrounding the Itaipu Power Plant reservoir, later extending to 55 municipalities in the Western Region of the State of Paraná. More than caring for the rivers, the activities involved a role in articulating and development of these communities and people, aiming Environmental Education, of contributing to socio-environmental concepts and values. Partnerships and organization in networks were the way found to take root in actions in this territory.
