Abstract

With the advent of globalization, the way in which natural resources are extracted and quickly transformed into consumer products and the way in which the search for these goods are increasingly intense, end up generating a significant change in the nature and behavior of society. Pollutions are intensified to local, regional and even global levels. However, how are people able to perceive environmental issues? The present work aimed to evaluate the environmental perception of students at the Youth and Adult Education Center, in order to verify the way in which they perceive environmental issues. This study provides support to assist in the development of Environmental Education actions in Ceja in the municipality of Crato-CE. Data collection was carried out with forty students, through an interview containing objective questions. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The environmental perception of Ceja students revealed in the survey reflects that students have a good environmental perception acquired from each other's life experiences. However, there needs to be a greater engagement of these students in environmental education activities developed by the school.
