Abstract

The report describes the course of the Environment Week at the Serra dos Órgãos University Center (Unifeso) throughout the eight editions carried out so far. The event brings to the debate the socio-environmental issue with teachers, students, technical-administrative employees and the local society, through a variety of activities. The space-times discuss current socio-environmental problems and their implications for professional training and practice and the exercise of citizenship. At the same time, they aim to awaken, encourage thinking and acting in favor of desirable futures, of a future with social justice and environmental balance, seen inseparably.

  • Luiz Antônio, Serra dos Órgãos University Center

    Bachelor's degree and full degree in Geography from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ (2005), specialization in Planning and Urban Land Use by the Institute of Research and Urban and Regional Planning - IPPUR/UFRJ (2005), master's degree (2008) and doctorate (2014) from the Fluminense Federal University - UFF. Between 2002 and 2006, as a scientific initiation and technical support research fellow, I participated in research on residential mobility and the formal and informal real estate market (at the Latin American, national and local scales) at the Real Estate and Land Policy Observatory - OIPSOLO/IPPUR/UFRJ. The academic works developed at the postgraduate level analyze the production and reproduction of urban space in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in particular, the policies and programs aimed at the favelas of Rio de Janeiro (Programa Favela-Bairro and PAC Favelas no Complexo do Alemão). Professor at the Serra dos Órgãos University Center - UNIFESO (since 2008/02), in several courses, in subjects on the following topics: teaching Geography; environmental education; science, technology and society; scientific methodology; and cultural studies. With experience in teacher training courses, with emphasis on Geography and Pedagogy courses. Research in the areas of urban geography and teaching of Geography. Extension projects in Social and Environmental Education by Sala Verde Unifeso. Professor of Geography, in basic education, at the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro (since 2007) and at the Municipality of Petrópolis - RJ (since 2010), with experience in the private network. http://lattes.cnpq.br/3760286370273503
