Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to rethink many of our habits and behaviors, made us reinvent ways of connecting to the world, and brought us important reflections on what really matters to our lives and the results of our actions towards the environment. In this article I discuss how environmental impacts are related to the emergence of diseases, analyze the effects of social isolation on the environment, and propose some changes that we can put into practice in the future, given all the reflections imposed by this moment. Environmental education has a fundamental role in this process of think and act, and will be our greatest ally during the next decade.
