PARANÁ ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION MEETING: A HISTORICAL SPACE FOR DIALOGUE AND CONSTRUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE

Abstract

This article presents a historical overview of the eighteen editions of the Encontro Paranaense de Educação Ambiental (EPEA), highlighting its relevance as a space for discussion and exchange of experiences on environmental themes in Paraná. It covers the evolution of the themes covered, adaptation to sociocultural demands and global trends, and the impact of technology in expanding the reach and improving the event's organization. In addition to bibliographical research on documentary and historical sources, the text is made up of interviews with members of the Network of Environmental Educators of Paraná, who carry with them the experience of the almost thirty-year journey of holding the meetings. We also emphasize the importance of preserving collective memory and using lessons learned to guide future editions, consolidating the event as a reference in the area of ​​environmental education.
