Abstract

This study advocates for the role of music as a mediator in the introduction of Environmental Education into the educational context. As a case study, we carry out a critical analysis of the song "Planeta Vermelho", by the rapper Gueg, in order to demonstrate how it can serve as a starting point for the incorporation of Environmental Education content into teaching practices, especially in Science and Biology classes. The aim of this study is to enable educators to promote innovative practices when working with Environmental Education, so as to foster a more sustainable and conscious relationship between humanity and the environment.
