The Structuring of the List of Visiting Opportunities in the National Park of Chapada dos Veadeiros (GO, Brazil)

Abstract

This paper deals with the application of the Rol of Visitation Opportunities in Protected Areas - ROVUC [recently updated and validated by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation - ICMBio] in the National Park of Chapada dos Veadeiros - PNCV with the objective of identifying actions priorities for planning public use that subsidize the construction of the Plan of Public Use of said Conservation Unit - UC. For the collection of data were realized workshops composed by social actors, namely: managers of the UC and guides of Tourism acting in the region. Its justification is due to the expansion of the area of ​​extension of the PNCV, which, together with the increasing flow in the visitation of the last ten years, reinforced the need for a survey of possible subsidies that help in the planning of the CU because it is a Cerrado area of ​​relevant ecological interest . From the trajectories described here, it was identified that the diversification of opportunities is an ally for the management of the PNCV, as far as the visitor's opportunism is concerned not only with the performance of a particular activity, but also with the advancement of an experience.
