Abstract

These comments deal with three questions: (1) Colombia in 19th century;
(2) differences and similarities between the Colombian and the Brazilian
experience; and (3) the role played by religion in the modern world. Thus,
they seek to explore a few of the many and surprising points raised by the
paper presented.
