Abstract

This paper investigates the conditions of emergence of personalities and
communities in a process of creolization, within spaces of what are now
Angola and surrounding territories. I gave more attention to areas under
the control of non-European authorities and I investigated four types of
creolization according to four activities or processes: synergy; commercial
traffic; interaction of cultures in the same space; the creation of an army.
