Resumo

A educação é um dos instrumentos mais importantes para o desenvolvimento de cidadãos com valores humanos e profissionais. Atualmente, os sistemas educativos em todo o mundo têm programas baseados em perspectivas tradicionais e tecnológicas que permitem aos estudantes alcançar objectivos profissionais e monetários. No entanto, muitos destes sistemas negligenciam aspectos importantes como as emoções, os desejos individuais, a motivação, a atitude, a coragem, o respeito por si próprio, o autocontrolo, a criatividade, a saúde mental, entre outros. Estes aspectos podem ser desenvolvidos através da aplicação de um currículo humanista, pelo que a sua adoção é indispensável para se ter a possibilidade de alcançar uma aprendizagem mais completa e significativa em cada aluno. O objetivo deste estudo foi atualizar a evidência sobre a eficácia da educação humanista nos programas de ensino. Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura, bem como um processo de busca apoiado na metodologia Prisma. Para a realização da pesquisa foram selecionadas as bases de dados Scopus, SciELO e WoS. Foram identificados 1136 estudos, dos quais apenas 25 foram revistos e analisados em profundidade, após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão. Foram evidenciados múltiplos temas-chave com metáforas relevantes associadas à ética da virtude e do cuidado, aos currículos e à educação humanista. Conclui-se que a abordagem humanista, presente nos programas de ensino, dá prioridade à vida individual do aluno e permite-lhe aumentar o seu potencial emocional e cognitivo.
