Abstract

The interview gathers some significant contributions by Alfredo Martínez Marcos to the field of philosophical research. His anthropological theses offer a non-naïve defense of the notion of human nature, while, in the epistemic realm, he presents a conception of knowledge that seeks a middle ground between the obsession with certainty and skeptical despair. Finally, his reflections on the value of human vulnerability and the importance of the present as an antidote to the false dichotomy between progressivism and conservatism are included.
