Abstract

The current work tries to think of the potential relationship between de figure of the migrant and Derrida’s notion of the trace. In this respect, the trace breaks up the figure of the migrant as a pure subject of the displacement by leading him/her to a sort of powerlessness in which there is neither presence nor time, much less a passing. This would imply, thinking in the trace itself, surrendering to the incommensurability of what has no origin, principle or route to be traveled in a sort of pre-history. Despite this no-power, the trace would also allow us to sense the unique and particular indeterminacy that opens up the migrant towards the possibility of justice and, therefore, of the deconstruction.

    Javier Agüero Águila es Doctor en filosofía por la Universidad de París 8 Vincennes/Saint-Denis. Sus líneas de investigación principales se concentran en la filosofía francesa contemporánea, particularmente en la obra de Jacques Derrida y su intersección con el psicoanálisis freudiano. Sus últimos libros publicados son Tres ensayos portátiles sobre la guerra. Freud, Zizek, Butler (Pecado editores, 2023) y Conversaciones sobre un Chile que no fue (Ediciones UCM, 2023). Actualmente es académico del Departamento de Filosofía de la Universidad Católica del Maule, Chile.

    Luis Amigo Maureiria, profesor de Religión y Filosofía y Magíster en Ciencias religiosas y filosóficas por la Universidad Católica del Maule, Chile. Escribe su tesis de magíster sobre la construcción de la memoria en el período transicional chileno, especialmente en el gobierno de Patricio Aylwin (1990-1994), a partir de lo planteado por Paul Ricoeur en su libro La memoria, la historia, el olvido. Sus intereses de investigación giran en torno a la filosofía contemporánea, especialmente en lo referido a Jacques Derrida y cómo su historia de vida tiene una influencia en sus postulados filosóficos a lo largo de toda su obra.
