Abstract

Throughout the Romancero lines and foci of thoughts intersect, which may well have caused the main themes and investigative turns of the treatise composed by Capellanus. The work aims to explore the theoretical intersections, mainly in the form of ethical and symbolic guidelines, between the Capellanus volume and the set of romances present in the Renaissance collection, in order to locate their early antecedents in medieval times and determine at the same time the sources of thematic inspiration typical of the treatise composed by Andreas Capellanus.
