Main Article Content
Abstract
The Project for the Digitization of the Memory of Arab Immigration in Brazil began in 2016, as a result of a partnership between the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CCAB) and the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), in Lebanon. Its main goal is to preserve and disseminate historical documents related to Syrian-Lebanese immigration through digitization and free on-line access. The initiative encompasses public, private, and family archives, with the aim of fostering research development based on underexplored primary sources such as rare books, periodicals, documents and photographs.
