This text presents the account of the experience and the process of developing the products of an extension course developed within the project "University and Social Participation" (PUPS), linked to the Center for Studies, Research, and Extension of Families and Public Policies (NEF), whose central theme was Paulo Freire. The course aimed to explore a bit of the life and work of educator Paulo Freire, the patron of Brazilian education, who left us a legacy that offers contributions to various fields of knowledge. This extensionist action adds to others developed within the university space, seeking to promote the construction of a democratic, supportive, fraternal, and ethical society.
