Abstract

This study presents the experience of educational visitation along the Saltão Trail in Iguaçu National Park (PNI), conducted by ICMBio’s Advanced Base 2 in partnership with schools from Capanema, Paraná. In 2025, 246 students participated, with an expected total of 500 by the end of the year. The activities combined interpretive walks, practical experiences, and collective reflection, fostering engagement, a sense of belonging, and behavioral changes related to conservation. The initiative demonstrated potential to be consolidated as an Environmental Education strategy in the Ilhas Pole, provided it is supported by continuous monitoring, guide training, and interinstitutional integration.
