Mission and Objectives

Due to its adhesion to the World Open Access Movement, UNIFESP decided, among other actions, to provide professors, researchers, and the non-experts community a unique place to host all university journals and guarantee free access to them. Moreover, UNIFESP Journals Gateway starts its operations in a moment when scientific knowledge has been firmly put to the test. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been responsible for the death of millions of people worldwide, has worsened the global economic crisis. Also, the emergence of denialism (denial thinking) as a political bias has highlighted the importance and the relevance of scientific knowledge in dealing with humanity's problems and has stressed the need for harmonious coexistence with the planet's ecosystems. In this scenario, the mission of UNIFESP Journals Gateway is to be a tool for the production and dissemination of science in constant dialogue with society. UNIFESP Journals Gateway aims to become an official digital library of scientific journals and a prominent information vehicle for producing and internationalizing scientific dialogue within society.
