Abstract

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, in this interview Sharif Shabazz looks back at important moments in the hip-hop movement, discusses the differences between the movement and hip-hop culture, shows us the cultural and social impacts that Hip-Hop has brought to Brazil, as well as explaining how knowledge has become a fifth element of this culture, and also outlines the relationship between Hip-Hop and Islam.
