Abstract

Climate anxiety or eco-anxiety (distress related to climate and ecological crises) is gaining increasing attention worldwide. In this context, the aim of this study was to present reflections within a theoretical-methodological framework for understanding and addressing eco-anxiety in the realm of public health management. As a result, the integration of Ecopsychology into public psychosocial programs and Environmental Education, aligned with local knowledge and social practices, can serve as catalysts, fostering positive manifestations and interventions in catastrophic scenarios and strengthening efforts toward effective governance in times of crisis.
