Abstract

The ambulatory EEG monitoring is an Important diagnostic test for epilepsy. It was criticized due to the excessive presence of artifacts that existed in the early systems. Those artifacts could be misinterpreted as epilepticform discharges. The authors had analyzed 8 tests and classified the electroencephalography signal as exceient, good, regular or bad, according to the artifact presence and length. The authors have shown that the presence of artifacts In more recent EEG ambulatory monitoring with digital equipment doesn't Interfere with the analysis of this lest.
