Background: Amongst the found riots in the patient with Stroke, the hemiparesia is one of the more obvious signals of the illness. These patients trend to remain in a position of postural asymmetry, with distribution of less weight on the affected side. This results in the reduction of the functional activities and in the execution of the gait. Objective: In this direction, the aim of this study was to inquire the symmetry and transference of weight in patients with sequels of Stroke and its correlation with the performance of activities of daily life. Methods: For this, eight individuals with average age of 56.75 ±10.25 years and time of injury of 48 ±32.7 months had been evaluated. Evaluation of the symmetry was carried through and transference of weight (ASTP) and the Index of Barthel (IB). After the evaluations, the data had been correlated through the index of correlation of Pearson. Results: It can be verified that it had an excellent positive correlation (r:0.98) between ASTP and IB. Conclusion: These values suggest that the reduction of the symmetry and transference of weight harm the functional activities in the patients with hemiparesia
