Anquiloglossia e os impactos miofuncionais orofaciais: uma revisão sistemática

Resumo

Objetivo. Realizar um levantamento sistemático na literatura acerca dos impactos e das alterações miofuncionais orofaciais associadas à anquiloglossia, a fim de nortear a prática clínica baseada em evidências. Método. A estratégia utilizada foi uma combinação de termos DeCS/MeSH e de palavras-chave, conforme a estratégia PICO mediante consulta às bases de dados PubMed, Scielo, BVS e ISI. Foram incluídos artigos publicados no período de janeiro de 2018 a dezembro de 2022, nas línguas inglesa e portuguesa; estudos que discorressem sobre o impacto, avaliação e reabilitação das funções miofuncionais orofaciais associadas à anquiloglossia. Identificação do artigo (título, autores, ano de publicação); objetivo; características metodológicas (delineamento de pesquisa, amostra e instrumento de avaliação); e impactos da anquiloglossia. Acerca desses impactos, foi realizada uma análise temática. Resultados. Foi realizada análise de 50 artigos. Foram identificados impactos acerca da alimentação e nutrição, fala e linguagem, técnicas cirúrgicas, aspectos relacionados à respiração e ao sono, possíveis complicações da cirurgia, acompanhamento fonoaudiológico, percepção dos cuidadores e profissionais, e posição e mobilidade de órgãos fonoarticulatórios. Conclusão. Observou-se que a anquiloglossia pode causar diversas consequências negativas na vida dos acometidos. Os principais achados foram relacionados às dificuldades na amamentação e impactos na fala.
