Metrônomo ou Groove: a Musicoterapia e o uso do RAS no tratamento do Parkinson

Introdução. A Doença de Parkinson (DP) consiste numa redução de células dopaminérgicas na substância negra dos núcleos da base, que causa disfunções motoras e cognitivas. A utilização de RAS (Rhythmic auditory stimulation) tem apresentado inúmeros resultados e é muito promissora. Objetivo. Investigar a diferença na utilização da técnica de RAS com música e RAS com metrônomo no tratamento da DP. Método. Foi realizado levantamento de literatura nacional e internacional em publicações encontradas nas bases de dados Pubmed, Bireme, Google comparando protocolos de intervenções utilizando RAS em pessoas com DP. Resultados. Dos 19 artigos encontrados, três foram excluídos por serem repetidos, três foram excluídos por não tratarem de musicoterapia como foco de tratamento, e 13 foram utilizados para análise. Conclusão. O RAS com metrônomo bem como o RAS com groove (música) são eficazes no tratamento da DP, contudo a música possui o benefício adicional de melhorar o prazer do paciente e a adesão ao protocolo RAS.
