Move Bit: um Jogo Sério que melhora a função motora do membro superior de hemiparéticos

Resumo

Introdução. Os déficits motores são as principais consequências do Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC) e resultam em limitações da capacidade funcional para a realização das atividades de vida diárias, especialmente quando o membro superior é afetado. Assim, torna-se necessário um tratamento eficaz para restabelecer a função do membro superior desses pacientes. Objetivo. Avaliar os efeitos terapêuticos de um programa de exercícios baseado na utilização de um Jogo Sério (JS) desenvolvido para reabilitação do membro superior de hemiparéticos por AVC. Método. Trata-se de um estudo quase-experimental do tipo séries de tempo, envolvendo seis pacientes hemiparéticos crônicos. A intervenção durou 10 semanas, com sessões realizadas duas vezes por semana. Foram avaliados: espasticidade (Escala de Ashworth Modificada), função motora do membro superior (Escala de Avaliação de Fugl-Meyer-EFM e Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand Questionnaire-DASH), força muscular (dinamometria), destreza manual (Teste de Caixa e Blocos) e qualidade de vida (QV) (Perfil de Saúde de Nottingham-PSN). Resultados. Foram constatadas melhoras em diferentes variáveis, com destaque para a função motora do membro superior e para a percepção de QV, que tiveram grande tamanho de efeito (EFM: 0,6; DASH: 0,5; PSN: 0,6). Conclusão. O JS Move Bit foi capaz de promover efetivamente a recuperação motora do membro superior, além de melhorar a QV de pacientes hemiparéticos crônicos. Esse tipo de recurso pode tornar o processo de reabilitação mais atrativo, assim, recomenda-se a utilização de forma adicional à fisioterapia convencional.
