Introduction. Stroke is due to insufficient blood supply to the brain tissues, and can be divided into two categories: ischemic, where there is obstruction, or hemorrhagic, due to the rupture of blood vessels, which causes an injury to these fabrics. It is a major global public health problem, where most of the surviving individuals remain with functional sequelae, making it a common problem today in terms of mortality, sequelae, medical, and social costs. Objective. To evaluate the bimanual motor performance in hemiparetic. Method. The number evaluated was 20 individuals per convenience sample, forming two groups: Control Group (CG) and Post-stroke Group (SG). Individuals of both sexes, aged between 42 and 83 years, literate and illiterate, were included in the study, this being the CG, whereas for the SG these factors include hemiparetic individuals with a clinical diagnosis of unilateral stroke in the chronic phase. Results. There is a significant difference in bimanual motor performance with regard to bimanual skills (Abilhand questionnaire) and dexterity (6-minute Ring Test and Box and Block Test). However, regarding muscle strength and motor function, there was no significant difference. Conclusion. There is deficit in bimanual motor performance regarding dexterity and bimanual skills. Understanding this alteration provides a comprehensive approach to the post-stroke patient.
