Objective. Identify and analyze the results of studies on neurological disorders resulting from Sars-CoV-2 infection. Method. Integrative literature review, searching PubMed, SciELO, and Google Scholar databases using the descriptors: "Covid-19 or Sars-CoV-2" and "Nervous system or Neurologic Manifestations" and "Pandemic". 32 of 673 publications were selected, using as inclusion criteria original articles available in full in English, Spanish, and Portuguese published between January 2020 and September 2022, and as exclusion criteria: abstracts, expert opinions, editorials, and case reports. Results. The neurological sequelae resulting from infection by the coronavirus can occur due to the insertion of the pathogen in the central nervous system and autoimmune phenomena, as well as the consequences of social isolation, having a great impact on the physical and mental health of the population. Thus, there was an increase in the incidence of neurological syndromes secondary to infection, such as meningitis, encephalitis, encephalopathy, cerebrovascular accident, in addition to involvement of the cranial nerves, such as ageusia and anosmia, and the peripheral nervous system, increasing the incidence of Guillain-Barré syndrome. Conclusion. Patients infected by Covid-19 are more prone to diseases of the nervous system and their complications, in addition to great impacts on mental health, being important the early detection of neurological and psychiatric symptoms and their appropriate treatment. In addition, more studies are needed to clarify the relationship between Covid-19 and its impacts on the nervous system, in the short and long term.
