Abstract

Introduction. Cases associating the COVID-19 disease with Guillain-Barré Syndrome have been reported by several health professionals after the pandemic scenario. Objective. In this regard, this article (approved by the Etthics Comettee of Research, 56769722.7.0000.0020) aims to report the case of JIB. Case Report. Male, 75 years old, who was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, the diagnosis of Guillain-Barré Syndrome was confirmed by means of clinical examination, cerebrospinal fluid exams and electroneuromyography. After diagnosis, the patient received treatment with immunoglobulin 0.4g/kg/day for 5 days, at the time of hospital discharge, the symptoms were completely gone.
