Abstract

Case report of double relapse of neurocryptococcosis that aims to disseminate information and promote discussion about the theme, which is the third most common fungal infection after solid organ transplantation and which is difficult to manage and with scarce literature. Some patients present unfavorable results despite the institution of antifungal therapy, such as premature death due to disease complications, late infection control or even lack of infection control despite the instituted therapy. Refractory cases have a worse prognosis.
